The levels, which are determined by a simple initial test, are beginner, elementary, intermediate, advanced, or super-advanced. The amount of study necessary to complete one level is, on average, 80 hours of lessons (4 weeks).

Levels of courses*

Beginner:
Interact in simple daily situations: café, restaurant, hotel, station. Ask and give the time. Introduce and talk about yourself; invite and respond to an invitation; give and ask for information about individuals, places, services, articles for sale. Recount both orally and in writing personal experiences and habits; give and follow instructions and commands.

Elementary:
Interact in daily situations: the gym, shops, travel agencies. Describe places, atmospheres and people. Verbalize projects, promises, desires. Interact in complex situations: at the doctor’s, in the pharmacy, on the telephone, in a language school. Participate in conversations on personal, social and political themes. Recount the contents of a film or literary work. Make comparisons, describe places and objects. The human body and male and female dress.

Intermediate:
More complex life situations: bank, real estate agency, work relations. Discuss explaining one’s opinions, ideas and preferences. Read literature, newspapers and magazines; discuss horoscopes, food and wine; use of clichés and proverbs.

Advanced:
Formulate hypotheses. The forms of everyday language: advertising language, journalism language and work language. Punctuation. Historical outline of the Italian language.

Super-advanced:
The communication structures:
Interact in any situation, formal and informal, written and oral, through the use of an articulate linguistic register. Preparation of a curriculum vitae (CV); presentation at a job interview. The forms of everyday language: political language, sports language, legal language, colloquial language, commercial language. Perfection of written Italian.
